What is Bluetooth?
In short, Bluetooth is envisioned as a replacement for the cables that connect electronic devices. Specifically, it is a short-range radio module that operates in the ISM 2.4 GHz band. The Bluetooth protocol is designed to operate in noisy frequency environments and over short distances (10 meters), using a frequency-hopping scheme to make the link stable. To avoid interference with other signals, radio links quickly jump to a new frequency after sending or receiving data streams (or packets) between devices.
